The Art and Programming class will teach students how to create interactive art projects
combining artistic and coding skills. Children will learn how to use Arduino kits and
mini-computers that teach them in simple steps how to use programming in order to create art
objects designed with movement, lights or sensors.
Besides learning about visual art techniques and how to create their own original kinetic sculptures or robots, children will learn how to collaborate and combine skills for their own art projects.
The class is taught by Emanuela Marcu, a fine artist and educator with experience in creating interactive artistic educational projects for various schools and galleries and by Simona Lupusor, an artist programmer with experience in creating interdisciplinary art projects as well as working as a professional programmer in the field.
