Emrah Y.

Emrah's love of music started with classical guitar, he started his music education by studying classical guitar in 1996. After continuing his classical music education for 4 years, he started also studying flute at Kocaeli University in 2000. He studied chamber music and orchestra with Ece Karsal and soloist with Dr Sadako Yokoyama. He studied piano accompaniment with Associate Professor Hakan Bagci and Feridun Aslan. He graduated in 2004 and worked as a flute teacher for a few years at Kocaeli Anatolian Fine Arts High School before he got accepted to do his master's degree at the faculty of educational sciences at Istanbul University and completed his pedagogical formation education.

After teaching at many schools, he opened his own music school in Istanbul in 2009 and started to give certificate training with the approval of the Ministry of National Education. Emrah, who teaches flute, guitar and piano, continued to teach in his own school until 2021. He then, unfortunately, had to close his school in Turkey due to covid-19 and moved to London to pursue his music performance/teaching career.
