Instrument Trials

Our instrument trials are short, focused 1-to-1 sessions designed to see if an instrument is the right fit.

Students will be guided by an expert teacher to assess:

  • musical ability and readiness

  • hearing and sense of rhythm

  • suitability for the chosen instrument

If a student has learned before, we’ll assess one level and give a clear taster of how regular lessons run.
Adults are advised to book a one-off lesson instead of a trial to gain a fuller experience.

2

Dance Trials

For dance classes, students are invited to join a full-length lesson before committing to a term.

This allows them to:

  • experience the class structure and teaching style

  • see how they feel in a group setting

  • decide if the level and style are right for them

It’s the best way to feel confident before booking.

✔ Full lesson experience
✔ No long-term commitment before enrolling.

All trials are subject to availability and Terms & Conditions apply.

3

Art Trials

Art trials invite students to take part in a complete class session before booking.

During the class, students will:

  • explore materials and creative techniques

  • experience the teaching style and learning environment

  • be guided and assessed to ensure the class and level are suitable

This helps us place students where they can feel comfortable and progress well.

✔ Full-length class
✔ Level suitability checked

Adult Art Classes:
Please note that adult art classes do not offer a free trial as these are exclusive sessions.
However, new adult students receive 50% off their first class.

Frequently asked questions.

What age can my child start lessons?

We welcome students of different ages across our music, dance and art programmes.

Music Lessons

We welcome children from age 4+ to begin piano or drums, as these instruments are developmentally suitable at an early stage. From age 6+, students can explore a wider range of instruments. This structure supports children’s physiological development, coordination and readiness to learn effectively.

Dance Classes
Dance classes are available from age 3+, with baby ballet and movement classes designed to support coordination, balance and confidence.

Art Classes
Art classes are available from age 4+, encouraging creativity, exploration of materials and development of artistic skills.

Our teachers assess each student during the trial lesson to ensure the class level and learning approach are appropriate.

Which exam boards do you prepare for?

We prepare students for ABRSM, RSL and LCM and RAD graded examinations, guiding them through every stage of preparation and registration to ensure they feel confident and fully prepared.

How do you track student progress?

We use structured progress monitoring systems, regular assessments and ongoing feedback to ensure students develop confidently and consistently.

Do you offer trial lessons?

Yes, we offer a free trial lesson so students can meet one of our tutors, discuss their goals and assess readiness before enrolling.

Do you offer music lessons for adults?

Yes, we welcome adult learners of all ages and levels, whether learning for enjoyment, graded examinations or professional development.

What happens after the trial lesson?

If the student wishes to continue after the trial lesson, our team will offer available lesson times based on the current timetable. To secure a place, you will be asked to complete the LSA enrolment form and make the first payment according to the chosen payment plan.

Places are allocated based on availability at the time of registration. Students who enrol on a termly basis are given priority for fixed weekly lesson slots.

Students attending on a drop-in basis may book available sessions when space permits; however, future availability cannot be guaranteed if the slot becomes required for a termly student.
